What Tesamorelin is

Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone, modified at the N terminus to resist enzymatic breakdown. That modification is the point of the molecule: native GHRH has a very short half life in circulation, and the analogue does not.

Common questions

How does tesamorelin differ from ipamorelin?

Different receptors. Tesamorelin is a GHRH analogue acting at the GHRH receptor. Ipamorelin acts at the ghrelin receptor. They are frequently studied together for that reason.
