What GHK-Cu is
GHK-Cu is three amino acids, glycine, histidine and lysine, complexed with copper. The sequence occurs naturally in human plasma and its concentration falls with age, which is the origin of most research interest. The copper is part of the molecule rather than an additive, and gives the solution its characteristic blue colour.

Why is the solution blue?
The copper in the complex. GHK-Cu is a copper bound peptide, so the colour is inherent to the molecule rather than a dye or a fault.
Is GHK-Cu the same as GHK?
No. GHK is the bare tripeptide. GHK-Cu is that tripeptide with copper bound to it, which is the form almost all of the research uses.
