What Mito is
Mito combines three compounds that act on mitochondrial function by different routes: SS-31 binds cardiolipin in the inner membrane, MOTS-c is encoded by mitochondrial DNA itself, and NAD+ is the coenzyme both depend on. NAD+ dominates the pen by mass at 200 mg of the 220 mg total.
How the pen is supplied
Solution in a sealed 3 ml pen graduated in 300 dial units.
Pen specification
| Class | Three component mitochondrial blend |
| Also known as | MITO blend |
| Content | 220 mg |
| Fill volume | 3 ml |
| Dial graduation | 0.01 ml per unit |
| Total dial units | 300 |
| Per dial unit | 733 mcg |
| Components | SS-31 10 mg, MOTS-c 10 mg, NAD+ 200 mg |
Milligrams per dial unit are calculated from the pen strength and its fill volume. Every SerenQ pen is graduated at 0.01 ml per unit. A blend is not quoted per milligram, because the milligrams are not all of the same compound.
Verification
Independent assay per batch covering each component.

Common questions
What is in a Mito pen?
SS-31 10 mg, MOTS-c 10 mg and NAD+ 200 mg.
Why does NAD+ make up most of the mass?
NAD+ is a small coenzyme active at far larger masses than the two peptides beside it. The mass split does not reflect relative importance.
