What Kisspeptin-10 is
Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest fragment of the kisspeptin protein that retains activity at GPR54. The parent protein is a product of the KISS1 gene, originally identified in metastasis research, which is why it also appears in the literature as metastin. It sits upstream of the hypothalamic pituitary gonadal axis.
