What GHRP-2 is

GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide acting at the ghrelin receptor. It belongs to the generation of secretagogues that preceded ipamorelin and, unlike ipamorelin, shows measurable effects on cortisol and prolactin at comparable doses. That lack of selectivity is why the newer compounds largely replaced it.

Common questions

How does GHRP-2 differ from GHRP-6?

Both act at the ghrelin receptor. GHRP-6 produces a markedly stronger appetite response; GHRP-2 is the more potent of the two at releasing growth hormone.
